It explains how Auxa collects, uses, stores, and shares personal and sensitive data when you create an account, fund your wallet, complete identity verification, make payments, use support, or interact with our website.

Profile and account information, including your first name, last name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo, Auxa number, and account settings.

Identity and compliance information, including your BVN, government-issued identification details, document number, document image, selfie image, KYC status, and review notes.

Financial and transaction information, including wallet balances, transaction history, bill payment details, bank transfer references, virtual account details, withdrawal details, and supported external wallet addresses you add to your profile.

Device and technical information, including your IP address, device type, operating system, browser or app version, push notification token, and security or access logs.

Communications and user content, including support messages, attachments you upload, feedback, and notification records.

How We Use Information

Auxa uses collected information to operate and improve the service, including to:

Create and manage your account, authenticate you, and keep your profile up to date.

Process wallet funding, transfers, withdrawals, bill payments, savings and investment features, and other financial transactions.

Generate and manage dedicated transfer accounts and reconcile incoming payments to your wallet.

Verify identity, meet KYC, anti-fraud, compliance, and risk management obligations, and protect the platform from misuse.

How We Share Information

Auxa does not sell personal information. We may share personal or sensitive data only as needed to operate the service, including with:

Payment processors, regulated financial institutions, and banking partners that enable wallet funding, payouts, transfers, and related reconciliation.

Identity verification, compliance, and fraud-prevention providers that help us review BVN and KYC information.

Cloud hosting, storage, messaging, customer support, and security service providers acting on our behalf.

Regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other authorities when required by law, regulation, audit, dispute resolution, or a valid legal process.

Professional advisers or counterparties in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Permissions and Device Access

The Auxa app may request access to certain device features so that core flows can work properly:

Camera, photos, and files for profile uploads, support attachments, and identity verification document or selfie submission.

Notifications so we can send transaction updates, account alerts, and support messages.

Biometric authentication to help you unlock the app securely on supported devices. Auxa does not receive or store your fingerprint or face template; biometric checks are handled locally by your device operating system.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data for as long as it is needed to provide Auxa services, secure accounts, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and regulatory obligations. If you delete your Auxa account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify data that we are not required to keep. Some financial, transaction, compliance, and audit records may be retained for longer where applicable law or legitimate operational needs require it.

Auxa uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal and sensitive data. These measures include access controls, credential hashing, monitored infrastructure, and encrypted connections where supported. No system is completely secure, but we work to limit unauthorized access, misuse, and disclosure.

Auxa is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Auxa, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
